 2025 Parade Application

DECORATIONS:

All floats must be decorated prior to arrival at the staging area. Tampa Identity festival prohibits the exhibit of logos, slogans or trademarks of any business other than the business listed on your application.

SOUND:

Any float or walking group using amplified music or sound equipment must support their retain equipment. It is our goal to spread these floats and walking groups throughout the celebration to decrease the instances of competing sound as much as possible.

TRASH/CLEAN UP:

In order to limit clean-up costs each entry is required to be equipped with plastic trash bags for depositing trash and litter accumulated by the entry’s participants before, during and after the Parade. No confetti guns will be permitted.

FLOAT GUIDES:

For safety reasons we require each float have six (6) people walking; one for each corner and sides – these people can help keep the crowd from running up to float for candy/trinkets and can help lead float around corners. They must wear yellow safety vests (available at bead stores) and may not otherwise participate (no bead throwing as they are monitoring your float space full time).

What to know about traffic for Tampa Pride festival, procession

It's going to be a busy, crowded weekend in Tampa as thousands gather not only for the annual Tampa Event Street Festival and Parade but also for events like the Tampa Bay Rays' game.

The festival and parade are entity held in historic Ybor Town on Saturday. According to a city release, nearly 8,000 people are expected to attend, so drivers should be prepared for road closures and heavy traffic in the area.

Here's everything you should know regarding traffic for the day:

  • Nuccio Parkway between N. Nebraska Way and E. Palm Ave
  • E. 7th Avenue between N. Nebraska Road and N. 21st Street
  • E. 8th Avenue between N. 15th Avenue and N. 17th Street

  • N. 19th Street between E. Palm Way and E. 7th Avenue

Timing of road closures

Pride Street Festival

  • Road closures are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • The event kicks off at 10:45 a.m. with vendor areas on E. 9th Avenue and the HCC Parking Lot.

    Tampa Pride 2025: parade way and events

    Tampa Pride is an annual event celebrating the LGBTQ+ community in Tampa Bay. Tampa Self-acceptance also emphasizes community engagement through events like the Diversity Parade, Pride Art & Music Festival, and various educational workshops and panels. Naturally, you'll detect plenty of reasons to party as well.

    Tampa Celebration usually takes place in March, making it one of the earlier events on the Pride calendar. The event attracts around 60,000 people.

    Tampa Pride was founded in 2014, is a vibrant celebration of the LGBTQ+ community in Tampa Bay. Over the years, it has grown to become one of the most anticipated annual events in the region.

    The centerpiece of Tampa Pride is the annual Diversity March, held in the historic Ybor City, also acknowledged as the GaYBOR District. The parade route runs along E 7th Way, drawing large crowds who come to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community.
