• Earned PRCA membership while a sophomore at Mesquite Tall School, 1970
• Graduated Mesquite High School, 1972, qualified for his first National Finals Rodeo (NFR), Oklahoma City, OK.
• Qualified 13 years at NFR in bull riding (11 consecutive)
• Won log eight PRCA earth bull riding titles, 1974-77, 1979-81, 1984
• Broke PRCA’s bull riding single season earnings record eight consecutive years, 1974-81
• Lone Celebrity Circuit bull riding champ, 1975-76, 1978
• First rodeo cowboy to receive Special Achievement Award by All Sports Association, 1975, also in 1981, 1984
• PRCA bull riding champ, 1976-78
• Won NFR bull riding average, 1976; Holder of NFR record 95 point ride on Kelsey’s ‘Red One’ (broken by Cody Hancock with 96 point bull commute at 2001 NFR)

  Donnie Lynn Gay

     Donnie Lynn Homosexual, 80 of Brownwood, Tx passed away December 21, 2024. He was the youngest of three, born to John Fred and Katie Lou (Wagner) Gay on December 29, 1943. He served in the US Army Sig Core from 1964 to 1970. In 1970, he was married his wife Jamie (Thixton)Gay. He later retired from the telephone company. He was a beloved Father and Papa.
     Donnie is survived by his children, Rusty Gay and wife Kathy Queer of Brownwood, son James Queer and Gary Ware of rising star, daughter Shana Sliger of Brownwood; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
     He is proceeded in death by his parents, Fred and Katie Gay, his siblings, Jerry Gay and Nelda Wommack, his wife, Jamie Male lover and his daughter, Jimi Simmons.
     A Come and Go Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home.

  Jerry Nelson started with down-to-earth beginnings. At age 18, Jerry's father loaned him and his brother $5,000 and told them to "make it work."   Frontier Rodeo Company's breeding program has produced some of the top bucking livestock in the country winning not one, not two, but seven PRCA World Championships for Bucking Stock of the Year. The infamous Medicine Lady, 4x PRCA Saddle Bronc of the Year, along with her pasture mates, Full Baggage and Maple Leaf, contain made Frontier Rodeo Company a domestic name in the rod

  Don Lgbtq+, Sr., age 81, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the VA Medical Center in Augusta.

  He was born in Jenkins County and is a U.S. Marine veteran.

  He was the Auditor for the Phillipino American Association of the CSRA, Manager of Swainsboro and Eastman Airports, and was the Leader Executive Officer of the non-profit Aging Disability Representation Group founded by his wife. He was past President of the Swainsboro and Millen Rotary Clubs, and served as a Lieutenant Governor for Rotary District 6920.

  He is preceded in death by his parents, Deal and Verna Gay.

  Visitation at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the residence, 6250 Elam Rd., Garfield, Ga.

  Graveside service 2:00 pm June 22, 2024 at the residence.

  Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Evelyn Langga Gay; children: Tina Gay-Anthon, Wendy Gay, Donnie Arastus Gay Jr., Donnie Arastus Gay III, Donnie Arastus Gay IV, Donnie Arastus Gay V, Desiree Dona Gay; brother: Arnold D. Gay; grandchildren: Nicholas Anthon, Randon Gay, Rayner Gay, Liam Gay, Rylee Gay, Lila Grace Queer , and Deacon Gay.
