Lisa gaye cause of death
On Debra Paget and Her Hollywood Siblings
I was prepared to do a post about about Debra Paget when I came across the interesting knowledge that most of her siblings were in the business too so we thought it optimal to include them all. Griffin was the family surname. The mother, Margaret, or Marguerite Gibson, had a stage background in stock theatre, and had danced in vaudeville, night clubs and possibly burlesque. It was she who pushed her children into show business and conferred upon them their exotic professional names. Four of the five Griffin kids became actors. They were:
Teala Loring, sometimes billed as Judith Gibson (Marcia Griffin, 1922-2007)
The oldest Griffin sibling appeared in 32 movies over a 9 year period (1942-1950). In major films she normally had bit parts, but she get larger roles in B movies. Her walk-ons are in pictures like The Fleet’s In (1942), Holiday Inn (1942), and Double Indemnity (1944). She can be seen in larger roles in things like Return of the Ape Man (1944), Bluebeard (1944), Dark Alibi (1946, a Charlie Chan film), the Bowery Boys comedies Bowery Bombshell (1946) and Hard Boiled Mahoney (1947), Gas LISA GAYE The gorgeous 34-23½-36" star of innumerable movies and TV shows of the ‘50s and ‘60s, Lisa Gaye, was born in Denver, CO, March 6, 1935. The youngest of three actress-sisters (Teala Loring and Debra Paget creature her older siblings; kid sister Meg was a non-professional), the future celebrity came to California with her family, when sister Teala received a Paramount contract and the name Judith Gibson. There were so many TV shows Lisa appeared on, it’s a wonder she was competent to watch them all. “But I did—at least on the first run; in fact, on a local channel here in Houston, they still operate ‘Have Gun Will Travel’ and ‘Wild, Wild West’.” One of her television co-stars was Steve McQueen, with whom she appeared in “Wanted Dead or Alive”. “I loved working with him; he was generous and professional. He gave so much. Of course he was high strung and pressed to the edge a little. We were shooting on the back lot and he asked me if I’d fancy a ride help to the soundstage, on his motorcycle. So I certainly said ‘Sure.’ I made a massive mistake by getting on hi Lisa Gaye, the auburn-haired actress and dancer who starred in the 1956 musical films Rock Around the Clock and Shake Rattle & Rock!, died Thursday in Houston, her family announced. She was 81. Survivors involve her sister Debra Paget, who starred in such films as Broken Arrow, Love Me Tender and The Ten Commandments, and brother Frank Griffin, a Hollywood makeup artist who earlier acted under the screen name Reull Shayne. Another sister, actress TealaLoring, died in 2007. In the box-office sensation Rock Around the Clock, featuring Bill Haley and the Comets, The Platters and others, Gaye was memorable dancing with Earl Barton (also the film’s choreographer) in front of a clapping crowd of teens in the show-stopping number “Rock-A-Beatin Boogie.” In Shake Rattle & Rock! Gaye played the love interest of a disc jockey (Mike Connors) in the story about adults who want to disallow rock ‘n’ roll because they think it leads to juvenile delinquency. Also in the 1950s, Gaye had a recurring role as French model Collette DuBois on The Bob Cummings
