Everyone's in on the act

If there's hair, we'll travel there … Since 1997, The Body Barber™ has been waxing the men of Australia and visitors from near and far specialising, but not limited to, the more intimate areas of body waxing. From a quick mono-brow tidy to the more serious full body wax, please don't think that your hair issues are anything that we haven't seen before and therefore not familiar with.

There are many misconceptions about why someone may want to get a wax, especially their ‘man-bits’. They must be same-sex attracted or ‘kinky’, when in reality Aussie blokes are just taking more celebration in their appearance and realising that looking after themselves is very crucial for self-esteem, confidence and more hygienic.
The majority of our clients are blokes that you would never think of as someone who may wax, they’re just everyday run-of-the-mill people.
Whatever the reasons for coming to spot us, our clients are from every type of background and nationality. Bricklayers, Lawyers, Singers, men in their 70’s, Garbage collectors, Retirees, Social Workers, QC’s, Barristers, Barmen, Barwomen, Game Show Hosts, Hairdressers, Chocolatiers, Home Engineers, Teachers, Students, Forklift

What type of wax do you apply and why?
Depending on the area of the body we will either use soft strip wax or artificial hard wax. Generally, we will apply soft wax for large areas of the body, for example back and chest and we will use rigid wax for more sensitive areas appreciate the brazilian or nose waxing.

Our pliable wax is made from tree resin and other lab-made materials. In our experience, our clients have had less irritation from this type of wax. We do not use muslin strips for our pliable wax, we employ a higher quality synthetic fiber fabric that is stronger to allow for cleaner less painful pulls and less irritation.

Our hard wax, also known as stripless wax is made from artificial materials. Hard wax does not call for strips. After wax is applied, the wax cools down, hardens and is pulled directly from the skin. The reason we utilize hard wax for sensitive areas is because it is less aggressive on the skin. Challenging wax attaches to the hair and not the skin. Hard wax can also be used on coarser hair than traditional tender wax.

What is double dipping and why is it bad?

Intimate Waxing for Men

Intimate Waxing for Men

Many men are interested in intimate waxing, including full Brazilians, which involves the removal of all hair in the bikini area. We assist in navigating the various styles available and tailoring them to your preferences. The male Brazilian wax proposals long-lasting hair removal for your most intimate areas. Below is a detailed guide for waxing below the waistband.

How Should I Prepare? Be clean. Come freshly showered.

Be dry. Please avoid using lotion and aim for less oily skin to achieve enhanced results, although cleanliness is still appreciated.

Be hairy. YWe recommend that your hair should be a minimum of 0.25 inches elongated (long enough to lie smooth on your skin) before your appointment. Please refrain from shaving for at least two weeks prior to ensure that your hair is sufficiently long. If you’ve allowed your hair to grow freely and it appears unruly, there’s no need to be concerned! Our specialists will trim any excessively long hairs to the appropriate length before beginning the removal process.

Feel at ease and consider wearing loose attire on that day to minimize discomfort during the post-wax period.
