    Chicago Pride Parade

Chicago's Lgbtq+ fest celebration consists of a full month of festivities and events, culminating with the Chicago Celebration Parade, which traditionally takes place the last Sunday of June.

Chicago Pride Fest takes place along North Halsted St. in the North Side neighborhood colloquially referred to a ‘Boystown’ the weekend prior to the parade.

The Chicago Celebration Parade (June 29, 2025 11am)

The 54th annual Chicago Lgbtq+ fest Parade steps off at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2025 from the corners of Sheridan and Broadway (3900 North) on Chicago's north side.

The parade treks through the north side of the town, ending near the intersection of Diversey Parkway and Sheridan Road in Lincoln Park, walking through some of the city's most vibrant neighborhoods.

The annual celebration, which started as a protest parade in 1970 after the Stonewall Riots in New York City, has grown into the city's second-largest parade of nearly 200 entries, typically attracting more than 1 million people to multiple northside neighborhoods, particularly East Lakeview.

    Grand Marshals for 2025

We are honored to announce our Grand Marshals for 2025:

Vanguard Grand Marshals: Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts. The Emmy Award-winning actor and her Stake Hall of Famer spouse are individually and jointly the multi-hyphenates we’ve loved and admired for years, who made history as the first same-sex couple to grace the cover of Essence magazine, garnering a nomination for a GLAAD Media Award.

Celebrity Grand Marshal: Andrew Rannells. One of our favorite award-winning actors for his roles on Girls, Welcome to Chippendales, and Girls5Eva! The Grammy Award-winning and two-time Tony Award nominated veteran of stage and screen is thrilled to be joining us.

    «São Paulo Gay Parade

Above, the route of the São Paulo Gay Parade 2006.

The starting point is in Avenida Paulista, the financial center of São Paulo. The streets in the neighborhood of Paulista concentrate some of the finest restaurants and most expensive shops in São Paulo.
The Parade will move along Paulista as far as the corner with Rua da Consolação; from there, it will go downhill along Consolação as far as Praça Roosevelt (which was the finish point in past events), and then eventually to Praça da República.

The Parade is about 4 km drawn-out , and is walked in about 4 hours. The athletes who participate of São Silvestre, on December 31st of every year, also follow this identical route.

If you are staying in a hotel near Paulista, the finest way to reach the Parade is walking. All streets in the vicinity of Paulista will be taken by the crowd.
The best means of transportation to appear in the Parade and leave it is the underground (that Brazilians contact the metro). There are three stations in Paulista near the Parade area: Consolação, Trianon-Masp and
